  1. Affordable price: Yes, Callaway brand balls can be competitively priced, and still be a high-quality performance product. 

  2. High flight and distance: The women in our testing group loved how much distance they got off the tee with the Warbird. Callaway Warbird Golf Balls are designed to provide high flight and maximum distance for high handicap golfers who struggle to generate enough clubhead speed to get the ball in the air and down the fairway.

  3. Soft feel: Callaway Warbird Golf Balls have a soft feel, which is alwaays great for high handicap golfers who struggle with control and accuracy. 

  4. Increased ball speed: Caallway has a high-energy core that is supposed to help increase ball speed, but does it work? We tested the Warbird ball speed and YES, it was slightly higher than all the other balls on the list.

  1. Hard to generate spin, giving limited shot shaping.

  2. Since it's a low-spin ball it may not perform as well in windy or wet conditions.

Wilson Smart Core Golf Ball - Pack of 24

You normally don't see many WILSON products on my lists, but the Wilson Smart Core Golf Ball impressed m right away. Not only was the price great for 24 balls, but it was also surprisingly easy to control the spin when using my driver and my irons. I found it easy to shot-shape which is not normally the case with one of our best golf balls for high handicap players.

I actually used the link on this page while writing the PROSS of the Wilson Smart Core Golf Ball and bought 5/ 24-packs, lol. Never thought I'd be gushing over a Wilson golf ball!

 

PROS:

  1. Control/Spin: I wasn't the only one who noticed how much control you gained while hitting this ball. Other testers were shocked they were using a Wilson brand ball after many of their good shots. High spin, low spin... this ball did it all, which is crazy. This may be my diamond in the rough for 2023!

  2. Durable: If you're a player with a high handicap, durability is always a good selling point :)

  3. Nice Firm Sweet Spot & Control: Firm response off the tee for maximum distance and a soft response around the green for exceptional feel... again, great control for this ball!

  1. Distance and ball speed: I love this ball because you can really smash it off the tee, even if you do have a high handicap! Pro V1x Golf Balls are designed to deliver maximum distance and ball speed, which can help high handicap golfers achieve more distance off the tee and with their other clubs.

  2. Versatility: As I said earlier, this is usually my go-to ball when I'm not testing other balls because it plays well in any condition, with any club, and on any course. Pro V1x Golf Balls are suitable for a wide range of swing speeds and playing styles, making them a versatile option for high handicap golfers who want a reliable and high-performing golf ball.

  2. Soft feel: As a high handicap player you probably struggle with control and accuracy, so Soft Feel golf balls like these can help golfers control their shots better, even on mis-hits.

  3. Distance: After about 5 holes testing these balls I noticed that I was not only getting good distance on my driver shots, but also with my irons off the rough. 

  4. Low spin: Soft Feel golf balls have a low spin rate, which can help reduce slices and hooks and provide more consistent ball flight which makes it a perfect fit on the best golf ball for high handicap list.

  1. If you are an advanced player this is NOT the golf ball for you

  2. Some of the more seasoned pros said this ball is. bit soft for them, but not for their friends who are new to the game.
